Bookster is a corporate reading platform that started in Romania and has now expanded to Hungary. We run a physical library in Budapest's 8th district and we're looking for a librarian to help it grow: an organized, detail-oriented colleague who loves reading and who can shape the collection, run the day-to-day and build a reading community here. Your profile You have a degree in library science (mandatory requirement); Hungarian is your native language, and you communicate comfortably in English or Romanian (B2 level or higher); You enjoy designing systems and shaping how things work; You communicate clearly and warmly, in writing and in person; You're motivated by building something new and by bringing reading into people's daily lives. What you'll do Work in our 8th-district library, meeting and helping readers every day; Recommend books and make each visit a friendly, personal one; Select and order books for the collection, in collaboration with the Bookster Romania team; Write descriptions and background on books and authors; Handle the administrative side: orders, invoices and bookkeeping; Take part in reader activations at Bookster's client companies — events, campaigns and other formats that bring people closer to books. What we offer Flexible hours: part-time (6 hours/day) or full-time; Close support from the Bookster Romania team; A friendly, professional team that acts on good ideas; A salary matched to your schedule and experience; We can't wait to meet you! About Bookster Born in Romania, Bookster is a platform designed to turn reading into a habit people love. We've built a modern reading experience, with personalised recommendations, reviews, reading challenges and games, along with office delivery and campaigns that bring people closer to the world of books. Today, over 1500 companies offer Bookster subscriptions to their employees, including Banca Transilvania, ING, Orange, IBM, Kaufland and Ernst & Young, and our community has grown to over 125,000 active readers. We're now taking Bookster further: bringing that same love of reading to Hungary and building it here step by step.
